It would appear even the hacking skill of Henry's crew member Fredrick is unable to stay a float against the empires advances. It is cause of disturbing facts I have come across and recently confirmed with my own eyes why they push the silence of any news. 

The empire is siding with the demon kind.

As we continued are travels more and more do we see evidence of demons among us. The ship of the Buckley gang was found crashes and devastated. The damage unlike anything of human doing. No signs of bullets or battle. We happened upon the downed vessel and sort out to investigate but it was more then the crew to bare and watch. Kenta being of stronger stomach and less empathy to humans continued on, his initial report was not good and he should return soon with full understanding of what is to be found. Either Him or I will return with the findings as soon as possible. Grave things are upon us.

Origin of Demon Kin

The Seedurns you came across are known as Demon Kin, beings that have been infected or possessed by demonic aura. The intensity of the infection can vary but it they still acted wild and untamed in actions then it would be that it was a second hand infection or the demons are still to weak to materialize in this world.

As I have mentions before this worries me as this means the demon race known as the Lunarines are soon to invade this dimension. I am greatly bothered by this as it is many years too early for their return. My defense against their return as not as strong as anticipated. Hopefully this invasion can be repealed before it is too late.

Hello to all,

Especially to my nephew with answer to his question. You are correct in hearing of this sort of thing from the past as one of the stories I am working on at the moment mentions such a thing. it is from the story of a young girl from Sae Jirra and her dealing with the spirits of our world. You may have read some of my notes at one time or another. I do hope to publish the story I am titling "Land of the Spirits" as well some others some time in the near future. As I have mentioned this before but yet again I will keep all posted on when this will finish. I hope that was help in where you heard it but I am afraid I have no understanding of its origin.

Dangerous Encounter

I Like to say I am glad to be back on here and our systems are back in full swing. I would like to finish my story but I am afraid pressing matters are upon us of more importance. We set down in the  on what should of been the safe side of the Alta Mountains but that miscalculation that anyone would of made was dead wrong and nearly cause of our death. The seedurns common among the mountain range and surrounding areas are restless and changed. They feel and act possessed and attack without care or though of themselves. I obtained an injury from this attack as did the twins but luckily we were able to repel their advances fighting them off killing a few. the wounds are not great but I am afraid Aaron will not walk for a while. Kenta grabbed one of the fallen seedurns and as best he could examined the creature. Physically is seemed normal at least on the surface. However, There was a faint glow to its skin almost purple in tint. This was quite shocking to me as I have heard of such a thing before but to my mind I cannot recall. Still this incident plus the previous Hakon one with the addition of Saerine (Breaking his wall of silence to warn of coming events which is scary in itself) I feel something horrible is on the horizon.

If any have news on information of this acurrance in its meaning and cause please do not hesitate to answer. Thank you.

I noticed Kenta concerned about the random appearance of the Hakons upon this planet and i fully understand his worry. However, his worry is not in full amount necessary of the coming events this foretells. By some investigation of the event I noted that they happened upon a portal if will not of this universes origin. I am afraid that demons may soon return to this universe in full form again. 

It pains me to think this but it may very well be the end coming...

Hello this is Kenta.
  

I would just like the report from the crew that we are all safe and have returned to the ship. our comms are back online as you can plainly tell yet we still cannot send communication on an instant basis as this message will surely be a couple of days old upon receiving. 

I would like to go into some detail of the evens that had occurred. Our ship apparently gains most of its technology from the race known as Hakons, and stop right there if you think me some fairy tale spewing fool, they are infact a real race and did as well have a massive empire on these lands thousands of years ago. it appears there are some who had managed to make return upon our soil of Aliyahmas. I not sure how as the skies of your civilization is flooded with crafts but then again the Hakons possess technology many years beyond your highest. It is of course all lost to me details of that sort. however, back to point, some managed to make land and coming upon our ship struck out in rage against us for the as they said bastardization of their glorious technology. The Hakons were weak in their attack due to the type of travel they made and we were easily able to subdue them. Agent 0 has taken them back to the main headquarters of the Tri-Flame Order for further understanding but I believe Saerine may know a bit more of what is happening here.

I have been noticing some strange things happening of late. The world is turning in such a strange way. the essence feels corrupted in some way and creatures known as demon kin (as we know usually harmless and small in numbers) are on the rise and become more of the threat. Plus making matters worse some ancient evils are said to be appearing from the darkness again, even though this is mere rumor. I will have more my findings of this upon a later date. This should be fine for now. Thank you.

I happened across Henry and his crew. Everyone is fine. It was a local incident nothing major but it appears a small group of Hakon refugees struck out against them. This is quite disturbing considering none of them should be anywhere left on this planet. Everyone is fine however. Henry or Kenta will report in when all is settled.

My Beginnings as a Pirate PART II

As I was left off with the pocket watch of my father's given to me would lead to my privateer life. That year had another surprise, as my uncle would take me on my first field study to a remote and somewhat dangerous location, the lost Lylen temple of the Alta Mountains. This is where you could say my life took a turn.

The venture was no different then the others with the usual preparations of tools and equipment as well weather and region specific ones. We left early in the wet and soggy spring, since between the snow melt and spring rains does not make a pleasant time. The mountains still did have some coverage of snow due to the elevation so we were prepared for the snow. I am told that the mountain is especially cold due to something about air flow from the frozen lands or something to that effect. The climb and study of the temple was not all that unusual except for maybe the high amount of spirits wandering around the place. However, we were experiencing some very warm days and the snow was melting at a hazardous rate. On the third day it happened; the melt caused a avalanche consuming the temple and I was caught in its path unable to escape. My uncle tried for days to recover me but it was no use for the path of the snow reached an ravine with no practical way down. I know now and even then thought it but he was greatly distressed by the event calling off the venture and not joining one for quite some time after.

I woke in strange place miles away form the mountain to a nice family with a son named Fredrick. Completely normal family, nothing at all strange about them. The father worked the mines nearby and the mother cared for Fred. He was your average boy except his weight being on the portly side. Yet he had no care for venture, till say I came about. I knew I must make return to my city but the roads were impassible at this time. I still must try and so I did even though against Fred's wishes. There was something strange about him in this sense for when I made my escape from normality he followed by some sort of apparent friendship. I assumed he never had many or at friends so it would only be of sense he would latch on to one he gained. I let him follow for I did not think his desire would last long. Oh was I wrong.

We made our way as best we could but having no money or real baring of my intended path I made best to improvise my way. Having a good sense of direction and well with traveling that was not so much the difficult part yet money was and is the issue here. In order to get by and live on with this venture stealing became the only option since I had no time or purpose in permanent settlement. Fred did always try and make an honest living. Some how in the end I would be the one to support which came to no surprise.

My ship is back to the skies and everything seems to be in top shape for the most part. Some of the repairs give me cause for concern but a life like this risk is very much a part. Now I do not remember where I left off or if it was even of any worth continuing so I shall start at the well named start.

I was born to a average family yet my fathers true trade was not known to me till only a few years ago. My mother stayed at home and took care of me the only child. My father was rarely home but would write as often as possible and I can remember or at least as far back as I could understand written word was nearly everyday a letter managed to find us from him. However, it was on my fourteenth year of life that the letters stops quickly and for good. It could not of happened at worse of a time yet being my mother had recently fallen gravely ill. Not long after did the fevers take her from me and in escaping the faith of an orphanage I was taken in my my uncle, Philander and his wife. I lived there for several years happy as a teen could be. I would even go with my uncle on many of the excerstions he would venture but none ever to dangerous.

Then on my seventeenth birthday my uncle gave me a present I would always treasure and eventually led to my career as a pirate. The pocket watch of my father.

I am as you can say the fighting force of the Tri-Flame Order and servant of the mighty Saerine. Telling you such information is in no way a security breach as my enemies all ready know as much. However, there doesn't seem to be much I can really add to this little project or what now. I will bring postings from time to time I assume, but as far as the subject may be and how often is not in my mind nor am I to be bothered by it. I guess this is all for now. I came across some stories I heard and logged when in my wife's country all those years ago and find them quite interesting considering the supposed rumor of what happen to the once great private detective Jeremiah Baker. They all seem to have a similar figure involved in the plot causing the events to fold in one direction for the involved parties.

I plan on digging in for more research of the matter and to release these tales in the future upon the Aether Web.

Greetings,

I am Kenta son of akio, member of the pirate crew under Henry J. Grindley and the Tri-Flame Order. I am a Lylen from the lost continent who came to the surface in search of rune stone fragments in order to destroy them. Their power has all but been corrupted except for maybe a handful included the one Henry has. It was not much of a problem for many years since the runes where large and no human could get even near, let alone find them. Yet, someone or something discovered how to get close and caused them to explode. I am not sure of how this happened as I intend to investigate it as well.

I am from a noble family but far from the throne of the king. I come from the country of Katashi in the south of my lands. My father Akio is the governing hand of the country as my family has been for generations. I am the third son so as being far from taking over any political position I was sent on this mission for my people.

I can talk freely now as I am away from the pirate crew who still appears to be stuck on the ground. I am heading to the Alta mountains in search of the Lylen temple, one of the resting places of the Lylen runes. I hope some light will be shined on what the cause was in this tragedy. It is a nice little town I stay and send this message in within Sae Jirra of the Yosai called Pinancha.

This is Henry nephew of the Professor. My ship is currently down needing some heavy repairs and it seems a safe enough place to connect to the Aether tubes for a bit of an introduction. However, if i do cut out its cause of an emergency.

I am Henry J. Grindley III son of Henry J. Grindley II of course. Like my father I am a pirate yet it was not my original intent. Due to some unintentional circumstances I happened upon my father's infamous vessel which was created by my grandfather and well one thing left for the next. finding out the horrors hidden to the people by our governments I joined my uncle in the Order to defend against such evil, as well I have made some enemies with real pirates namely Thaddeus "Iron Heart" Cadwell.

I happened upon my crew as well as it seems to be my luck and faith in life when I was lost to my uncle in a expedition in the Alta Mountains. as well coming head to head with Lorraine and Kenta in a bit of rivalry but friendly all around. Hold on. A patrol is nearing, must be off.

Hello to all,

I am delighted to welcome my friends to this blog as they can be seen within the Inner Circle panel and I will like to invite them to give a bit of an introduction as well I feel I should as well since I never really went to far into my own self. Oh and don't you worry the original intent of the blog has not been forgotten as I am working on another ship as we speak. I just happen to have a bit of trouble with constructing the fuselage due to only bits of pieces of the technical drawings are still readable.

I am as you know Prof. Philander T. Grindley, and my primary occupation is teaching architectural and technical anthropology at the University of Anat. Another words the history and effect on culture and civilization from this technological age. I have been a professor there for a good 12 years after studying in the wilds for 4 years prior. I am also an alum from such college. My field study was mostly in the northern lands of Aluniia which is where I met my beautiful wife MiYoung of the Yosai people. We have been married since then but had not the chance or capability of producing children. No worries as we tend to travel often and I do not wish to dampen my wife adventurous spirit with the burdens of child care.

I am a member of the Tri-Flame Order in which was formed by my father Henry who my lost brother and his son are named after. In fact the son will be one of the joining members of this venture. After my fathers death I took up the leadership of the organization which has seen much change not by our fault but the world that changes without anyone's consent. This order still a beacon of light in the often dark world is now more involved with offensive manners with the return of Saerine and Agent 0. that is however another story for another time.

I would just like to finish off with a warning to all. Beware, demons are no longer monsters in children's tales.

Expanding of The Paper Empire

L.Z. 500 "Advent of the Aerial Destroyers"

Dear fellow Adventurers,

I am sorry for the delay in my posting of the final vessel of the L.Z. 100 series. I finally gathered my notes and images so that I may post them for you delight.

The L.Z. 500. It was considered a insane vessel when it first came out of the factories. No one thought it would even fly. It was a massive undertaking by the Lydon Army. With six standard cannons, one repeating cannon, and two of the new turret cannons it was a vessel armed to the teeth. As well it had armor plating to protect the gunners.

It did fly and it flew very well. It was as if someone took a fortress and had it float in the skies. However it was not completely a success in the battlefield. The L.Z. 500 was slow, very slow. It required a lot of support from neighboring vessels. the Lydon military was just not prepared for the new kind of strategy this airship required.

Of course this did not end ever expansion of large aerial destroyers. The in 1000 series(My fathers greatest and final military achievement.) the military was much better prepared and a new type of flying machine made it easier to defend the slow moving destroyers. This was the marvel known as the Fixed wing airship or for a better term the areoplane. But thanks to the L.Z. 500 the military and inventors were able to catch their follies in military might early.

My dear followers,

Sorry for the lack of posting. I was called away to a dig in my wife's old country in which a ancient Lylen ruin was discovered of a new source of energy of the legendary power known as essence. I was such a great find. IT is now to believed that small fragments of this stuff is spread all over the world. And I am very excited on finding new pockets of the essence ruin stones for help aid in the advancement of mankind.

As well I seem to be have technical difficulties with the aether net in my home and I am working on getting that back up soon so that a may continue. PLus my Classes at the college I am a professor at are soon to start up so postings should slow down. I hope you will be patient and stay with me in this hectic time. Thank you very much.

Version 3: L.Z. 400

The L.Z. 400. After the Introduction to the battlefield of the skies of the L.Z. 300 "Fast attack" vessel it was seen the need for a longer distance vessel. It was short lived as the Battles between Lydon and Ermonlin Empires were mostly over open ocean and there was not much for landing sites for the 300 model.

Soon after both sides saw this need and added on the bottom of the 300 two balloons. they moved the engines out towards the wings of the balloons. It was dubbed the L.Z. 400. It was introduced into the battles that stared over the lands to the north. The first country to feel the pain of there ever struggle was Bu-gu-nan (Which is were my wife comes from.).

The battles continued over to the west to the small cluster of Northern Countries. Due to the threat of the imperial conquest the main countries Bu-gu-nan, Dai-chi-ya, Ulling, Yosai, Mongkuya, and Kunkin formed an alliance against the foreign threat. The war continued to spread further into the world. Which started to advent of larger more destructive vessel.

Version 2: L.Z. 300

Ladies and Gentlemen I give you the L.Z. 300 "Fast Attack Ship". After the Lydon and Ermonlin Empires Fought diligently with the L.Z. 200 both of their military saw the need for a faster more agile vessel.

It was soon before this that my Father (Henry J. Grindley), a new uprising researcher, scientist, and archeologist who found recent fame on his findings of a ancient race known as the Hakons, invented the vertical propeller. Plus the technology of the steam engines were becoming great with the advent of a new mysterious power known as electricity. Many in the Anat National University though my father was insane for going after the fabled cities of the Hakons and with his first expedition a failure he almost did. But with a tip from a strange man that the only thing he can recall was a three flame symbol on his wrist(This would later become the inspiration of the organization my father helps start, The Tri-Flame Order.) he was inspired for another venture.

Therefore we went off again and to his luck came back with amazing things such as the vertical propeller. It took a lot of work though to get it working due to the fact the plans were incomplete so he had to make it up for the most part. But alas eventually he came up with a working version.

Soon after the Lydon Empire approached my father with funding to make a propeller that could lift the L.Z. series airship. after a few years he managed to create it. Thus the Advent of the L.Z. 300.

I'm not too sure how but The Ermonlin spies managed to get there hands on it and a few years later they attached back with the L.Z. 300. Which once again cause the military to better this again with the L.Z. 400 ( Which I will be posting about next week.)

LZ 200 Version 1 finals

Yes indeed fellow adventurers the final photographs of the first model of the L.Z. 200 are now available for your viewing pleasure. It was the first of its kind among the day as aerial battles were limited to bomb dropping Zephyr's. Later with the improvement of propellers devices and Zeppelins technology more weight could be supported by smaller vessels. The L.Z. 200 was the model that made it happen. With the state of the art light weight engines and new high efficiency balloon it could do things in the air that no other could before.

The first battle of the skies over the rough pass of ocean between Lydon and Evermoon Isle advanced the war onward. The old fashioned giants of the past were no match for these smaller, more agile, deadlier ships.

However the Ermonlin Empire was able to capture a still intact L.Z.200 and released there own version. Which delayed the invasion of Ermonlin by Lydon. Thus started the every advancing of the L.Z. series even further. In which eventually led to the once again growth in size of the aerial attack ships to eventual giant flying fortresses. As well the infamous L.Z. 2000 which was the greatest vessel ever created. there was only one ever made and never lost a single battle in all its unnaturally long years of war. Yet that Ship and the unfortunate advancement in war is all that's to this now seemingly modest vessel.

The hull of the L.Z. 200 has much more to it then first seen. Due to unforeseen circumstances we were not able to show you the finished design. in this rendition the ship has rope as well piping to the engine and exhaust.

As well the full placement of the the cannons on the vessel in the standard of the military ships.

Due to the location of where I post these aether net transmissions. the flag of the vessel is of the Lydon Empire.Even though they no longer produce them for new military assignment the factories still make the L.Z. 200 for local military police action. as well for the nomads across the Hakon Mountains.

Armaments

The next phase of the construction of the LZ 200 is the choice and placement of the armaments for your warfare.

Were as navy vessels tend to have one repeating cannon and four standard cannon. the Pirate fare usually will only have the repeating cannon due to its nature to cause less damage but fire more rounds. the pirates usually have two cannons that fire more of a grappling hook type device for the boarding of ships.

The hull design of the LZ 200 was such a successfull creation that three models were made using this design. In fact most countries still use this time honored vessel. However, with the ever growing demand of faster, stronger, and even larger ships in the Lydon and Ermonlin Empires the LZ 200 is riding out its last days within their navys.

Still said the most of the world still uses it and those who captain the remaining ones never wish to transfer to newer technology. below are some shots of the standard vessels hull. more to come on the various parts and models.

So finally I have gotten started on building the mock up of my model and doing final testing on the various parts. I decided due to the quantity of pieces as well the various customization of the model I shall break it into parts. The first shall be the ships hull. Second will be the armaments. Third engines. Then finally flight devices.

Some of the custom parts are: 4 flags of various nations from my world (more to come, plus feel free to make your own). 2 Types of engines. 2 types of cannons. And 2 types of flying devices with 2 versions of the balloon method.
